Bryce Batterton, who graduated last spring from Eads High School, is making a name for himself on the junior college rodeo circuit as the freshman from Frank Phillips College (FPC) had a great weekend winning his first belt buckle as a college rodeo athlete.
The fourth-seeded Lopes went 2-2 at the Region IX-South tournament in La Junta over the weekend to finish 17-17 overall while picking up a handful of milestones and awards along the way.
It’s been a long and difficult season for the Eads Volleyball team as the 7-13 Eagles have struggled with consistency. The young team, with nary a senior on the team, was not able to put together a complete tournament and ended their season at the District 2 tournament playing for the third and final spot against McClave. They would drop that match, 3-1, ultimately ending their up and down season.
