This Sunday, October 2nd, the Harris Pumpkin Patch located east of Highway 385 in Sheridan Lake will open for their 5th season of fun and adventure!
Kim and Rick Harris, with the help of family and close friends, produce and operate the Harris Pumpkin Patch each year. They cultivate an area that is roughly 175’ long and 70’ wide, yielding enough pumpkins to serve hundreds of families who come from many surrounding communities.
The past years have brough hardships such as harsh wind, bugs, and drought, however the Harris Family has overcome each obstacle and have been able to offer a fun farm environment for families across the region.
For the last 4 years, the Harris Pumpkin Patch has brought an average of 150-200 people each week to explore the bountiful patch, enjoy an array of autumn-themed games, and enjoy the food and drink.
The cost of picking the perfect pumpkin varies by the size, from $2.50 to $20, however there are many free activities for your family to take part in order to make memories that are priceless. Free activities such as hayrides, face painting, hot dogs, yard games and of course goodie bags for the children will be available each Sunday through October. Don’t forget, while you are there, be sure to get your family photo taken to preserve the memories made with your friends and family.
The Harris Pumpkin Patch Store will also be available to purchase fall themed items which will make great keepsakes or gifts for friends and family.
The Harris Family Pumpkin Patch will be open Sundays through October from 2-4 pm while supplies last. If you have questions or need help locating the patch call Kim at 719-940-0098.
