Multiple Semis Involved in Accident on Highway 287 Tuesday Night

     According to the Colorado State Patrol, at 11:48pm Tuesday night, an accident involving four semi-trucks occurred on Highway 287 at mile marker 125 near Colorado Interstate Gas Company in Cheyenne County.
     Two of the semis came to a stop in the ditch near the highway, one semi came to a stop in a nearby field and one semi remained on the highway. 

     The semi on the highway caught fire and burned to the ground.

     There were no reported injuries, and all 4 drivers refused medical assistance.

     Both Kiowa County Sheriff's Department and Kiowa County Fire Department were dispatched to assist Cheyenne County Sheriff's and Fire Department with the accident.

     No further details about the cause of the accident are known at this time.
