Keefe Memorial Hospital in Cheyenne Wells, CO is pleased to announce the addition of Allison P. Buck FNP-C to their providers team at the Prairie View Medical Clinic. Allison is the daughter of Stephanie (Ricky) Buck and a 2009 graduate of Eads High School who began her healthcare career as a CNA at Weisbord Memorial Hospital here in Eads.

In 2013 Allison graduated with honors from Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN). She then spent the next 5 years working as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department as well as Labor and Delivery which she said “helped me focus on women’s health and the care of neonates. The combination of these two career ventures truly helped me gain experience by caring for patients throughout the lifespan.”

While working part-time as a Registered Nurse in the ER at Penrose St. Francis in Colorado Springs, Buck used her experience and knowledge to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). In 2020 she graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing and became certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in September of 2020.

Allison has this to say about her choice to become a rural healthcare provider, “I really enjoy rural healthcare because it allows me to build relationships with my patients and provide care for those who have supported me throughout my life. People in rural communities are the salt of the Earth and I am so thankful Keefe Memorial Hospital has given me this opportunity to serve the community there.”

Allison and her fiancé` Logan Lowe, formerly of Cheyenne Wells, have purchased a home in Eads that they share with their two Pugs, Lola and Frank. Allison and Logan both look forward to being more involved in the communities in which they were raised.

Buck will be seeing patients at the Prairie View Medical Clinic in Cheyenne Wells Monday through Friday 8am-5pm beginning December 6, 2021. To make an appointment call (719) 767-5669.
