We asked kids what they were thankful for during this holiday season. We received heartwarming and authentic answers that leaves us believing that kids, at least our kids, really do get it. They understand what is important an what is…..not.

Brooks: I’m thankful for my teachers and classmates. But, mostly for one special person who inspired me to come here. And I’m thankful for all my loved ones and friends.
John: I’m thankful for everyone in my family. I’m thankful for my little sister. I’m thankful for video games. I’m thankful for food and all agriculture products.
Isaac: I am thankful for my family, friends, and our town. I thank all who help with the school.
Trayton: I am thankful for my church, my church family, and God to protect me. I am also thankful for my family, friends, the roof over my head, and the love and support and protection from everyone I know. I am also thankful for having the First Christian Church to practice my beliefs in a free country.
AJ: I am thankful for so many things including my friends and family … those are the most important. I am also thankful for good health and for the food I get.
Samantha M: I’m thankful for God making this beautiful place and for making me. I’m also thankful for God putting me with my family and making me unique.
Amber: I’m thankful for my family and friends. I really would be lost without all of them in my life. I know that I take a lot for granted, but, when I think about it, I really couldn’t have a better life.
Joe: I’m thankful for how fortunate I am to have friends and a family. Also, I’m glad tht I have a roof to sleep under and food on the table.
Tiauna: I’m thankful for Melody because she is the one who took me and my sister in and treats us like her own kids. I’m thankful that she gives us a roof over our heads and hot food in our stomachs. That’s what I’m thankful for.
Brandon: I am thankful for being able to spend time with my family.
Ally: I’m thankful for the support I have from my family and friends surround me. From support in my athletics to the support in my life, I know I am always defended and protected with love.
Cade: I’m thankful for my family and friends. I’m also thank that my grandma is getting better.
Briauna: I’m thankful for Melody Mitchell taking in my sister and I. I’m thankful for Melody not giving up on us even though times have been hard.
Donte: I’m thankful for my family and everybody in my life who’s helping me through it. I hope they will have as a good a life as I have.
Ross: I’m thankful for my friends, my family, freedom, and many other things.
