Eads School District Ranked #7 of Colorado Top School Districts

According to a national school ranking site called Niche (niche.com) the Eads School District located in Kiowa County, Colorado is the seventh (#7) best K-12 school in Colorado in 2022. This ranking comes out of the 177 districts that were analyzed.

The site combines an array of state and national data along with reviews from stakeholders to arrive at their 2022 Top K-12 Schools and Districts rankings across each state and the nation. The site is also designed to help parents determine what schools would be the best fit for them and their children as they decide on changing locals or jobs. It’s also a resource for educators, both experienced and novice, who are looking for school districts that meet their specific needs.

The Eads School District joins the following schools who were listed in the Top 10 of Districts in Colorado:

  • #1 Cheyenne Mountain School District No. 12 (A+ Overall Niche Grade) – 5,309 students
  • #2 Telluride School District No. R-1 (A+ Overall Niche Grade) – 885 students
  • #3 Aspen School District No. 1 (A Overall Niche Grade) – 1,653 students
  • #4 Boulder Valley School District (A Overall Niche Grade) – 31,000 students
  • #5 Cherry Creek School District (A Overall Niche Grade) – 56,228 students
  • #6 Ouray School District No. R-1 (A Overall Niche Grade) – 170 students
  • #7 Kiowa County School District RE-1 (A Overall Niche Grade) – 203 students
  • #8 Littleton Public Schools (A Overall Niche Grade) – 14,988 students
  • #9 Steamboat Springs School District RE-2 (A Overall Niche Grade) – 2,653 students
  • #10 Poudre School District (A Overall Niche Grade) – 30,754 students

The Overall Niche Grade is calculated by analyzing the strength of academic performance, teacher professionalism and achievement, clubs & activities offered, diversity of students, college prep programming, health and safety considerations, administrative performance, sports programs, food services and resources and facilities.

According to the Niche report card the Eads School District has the following grades based on their data:

  • Academics – A
  • Teachers – A+
  • Clubs & Activities – B
  • Administration – A
  • Food – B
  • Diversity – B-
  • College Prep – B-
  • Health & Safety – A
  • Sports – B-
  • Resource & Facilities – B

The main reasons for the high ranking for the Eads School District among all schools in Colorado is the excellence of the staff, academics and health and safety record. The school is highly rated with a student-teacher ration of 12 to 1. According to the most current state test scores, 67% of all students are at least proficient in math and 67% are proficient or above in reading.

In addition, the District is also ranked #1 in the state of Colorado with the Best Teachers. Eads is also ranked #4 in the state for the best place to teach in Colorado.
