The stage shimmered under the bright lights, the gymnasium alive with anticipation, and the air crackled with the promise of an unforgettable evening. May 2, 2024 the Eads Elementary music classes were poised to whisk its audience away on a thrilling journey through time, courtesy of a dazzling display of talent and nostalgia.

The evening kicked off with the adorable Eagles Nest preschoolers, led by the dynamic duo of Mrs. Leisha Walsh and Mrs. Tina Kraft. These pint-sized performers stole hearts as they serenaded the crowd with spring-themed tunes and even melted hearts with their sign language rendition of “I love you!”

But the real magic began when the entire elementary school took to the stage to pay homage to one of the greatest bands in history–The Beatles. Under the guidance of the ever-talented Mrs. Monica Uhland, the students embarked on a musical journey through the iconic band’s greatest hits.

Dressed as the “young” Beatles, Jace Rouse as Paul McCartney, Kaleb Shotton as John Lennon, Waylon Bolin as George Harrison, and Lincoln Sierra as Ringo Starr captured the innocence and charm of the Fab Four’s early years. They stole the show as they came onto stage to lead the kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders in classics like “Here Comes the Sun,”” Yellow Submarine,” and “Help!”

Speakers Piper Uhland, Milo Britten, Aspen Muehlbauer, Cree Cordova, Lexi McCracken, Lilliana Barton, Cassidy Brown, Paitin Jones, Wyatt Vancampen, Nash Galloway, and Andriel Everingham introduced the early songs sung by the younger grades.

As the night progressed, the “old” Beatles took center stage, portrayed by Paul McCartney- Madyx Hough, John Lennon–Calen Hoffman, George Harrison -Taivyn Kraft, and Ringo Starr–Liam Eder. With the maturity and finesse of seasoned performers, the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders wowed the crowd with hits like “Hey Jude,” “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Come Together,” and “Yesterday.” And let’s not forget the incredible soloists who added their own flair to each song, Jett Deines, Noah Gregory, Presley McLoud, Canyon Brown, and Paycen Williams.

But it was the grand finale that truly stole the show. With the entire ensemble coming together in perfect harmony, the gymnasium erupted into applause as they delivered a breathtaking rendition of “Let It Be.” And with special soloists McKinzie Jones, Taylor Uhland, Jax Cordova, Brenley McLoud, Isaiah Rouse, and Connie Gregory the performance reached new heights of emotion and beauty.

Behind the scenes, the Eads 8th grade art class, under the guidance of Mrs. LaDawnn Britten, crafted a stunning backdrop that set the stage for the evening’s magic. And let’s not forget the colorful attire worn by the students, a perfect reflection of the flower power theme that permeated the concert.

As the final notes echoed through the gymnasium, there was no doubt that this was a performance to remember. It was a testament to the talent and dedication of the students, the tireless efforts of the Eads Elementary staff, and the unwavering support of parents who cheered from the sidelines.

So, here’s to Eads Elementary, where music and imagination collide to create moments of pure magic. And who knows, maybe one day, these young performers will inspire a new generation, just like The Beatles did all those years ago.
