Eads High School and the Daniels Fund are ecstatic to announce the 2024 Class of Daniels Scholars! This year, the Daniels Fund awarded 209 Daniels Scholars across Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming, with 144 of those being from Colorado. You can see the full list of scholars here.

Eads High School is honored to announce that Katie Johnson was selected as a part of the 2024 Class of Daniels Scholars. She will part of a re-vamped payment program where students can select to attend an in-state partner school or out-of-state non-partner school as detailed below.

The Daniels Fund has established partnerships with 19 excellent universities and colleges in our four-state region. If a scholar chooses to attend one of these institutions, the Daniels Fund partners with the university to cover the scholar’s full Cost of Attendance (COA) including the student or family contribution. Scholars enrolled at these institutions will have their full COA covered (including tuition & fees, room & board, and budgeted indirect costs) through the Daniels Scholarship, university scholarships, and other grants and scholarships that the student receives. At the start of each academic term, the Daniels Fund will automatically make scholarship payments to the university for scholars whose status is Good Standing or Probation. For off-campus housing and indirect cost reimbursements, scholarship dollars will pass through the university financial aid office to the scholar after the start of the term.

Payge Rady, Kit Carson

Katie will attend SHIFTCollege at the Colorado Christian University June 23-26, which is a required scholar orientation conference. She will also receive a MacBook as part of her scholarship award. Katie will attend CU-Boulder next fall to major in Psychology with her full Cost of Attendance covered.

Other area recipients of the prestigious award include Paige Rady of Kit Carson; Jerry Buford, Crowley County; Vanessa Chairez, Lamar; Jordan Rockwell, Limon; Faith Wirth, Rocky Ford; and Aliya Cohoon, Springfield.

Paige Rady is going to West Texas A&M University and studying Animal Science

Congratulations to both Katie and her family, Paige and her family, and all the other area seniors who have received this incredible achievement!
