Dear Residents of Eads,

My name is Jeff Lane, and I am running for a position on the Eads Town Council. As someone who values the strong sense of community that makes Eads a great place to live, I am committed to serving our town with dedication, integrity, and respect.

I bring with me 26 years of experience working for the State of Colorado with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) as a Transportation Maintenance Specialist II, along with my experience as a self-employed rancher. Through both roles, I have developed a strong understanding of hard work, responsibility, infrastructure, budgeting, and accountability. These are skills I believe are essential for effective local leadership.

Living in a small town like Eads means understanding the importance of supporting one another, maintaining local services, and preserving the character of our community while planning responsibly for the future. I want to help ensure our town remains a safe, welcoming, and thriving place for current residents and future generations.

If elected, I will focus on addressing long-standing issues and ensuring they are handled efficiently and responsibly. I am committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and professionalism within our town government. Residents deserve clear communication, responsible use of public funds, and leadership that operates with integrity and respect.

Additionally, if elected, I look forward to thoroughly reviewing all current town contracts, policies, and ordinances. My goal in doing so is twofold: first, to educate myself so I can serve effectively, and second, to work alongside the board to identify any areas that may need attention. This includes addressing outdated policies or practices and ensuring they are aligned with what best serves the people of our community. All of this will be done with the intention of being a responsible and thoughtful steward of the town’s funds.

I believe in open communication and will always be accessible and responsive to the concerns of Eads residents. I am ready to listen, work hard, and represent you with the honesty and accountability you deserve.

It would be an honor to serve our community on the Town Council.

Thank you for your consideration and support.

Sincerely,
Jeff Lane

Until the 1980s, political parties did not campaign on cutting or restricting the expansion of social programs like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and SNAP. There was a bipartisan consensus that the nation should prioritize balancing the budget, but that this should not be done by cutting these crucial programs.

Well, the Democrats are at it again, those spineless meatheads wet their pants when Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. They’re in an uproar now that he wants to rename Lake Ontario to the Lake of America.

Mitch McConnell–where are you? Is this like looking for Waldo? McConnell, Schumer, Biden, and Pelosi—stay out of politics. These individuals and about 10-12 Democrat and Republican members should be poster children for pushing term and age limits for elected officials.
