In the heart of our community, Cafe Bean has quickly become a beloved hub for coffee aficionados and breakfast enthusiasts alike. What started as a cozy corner in the Maine Scoop Ice-cream shop, as part of the Crow-Luther Cultural Events Center, has now blossomed into a thriving cafe at their new location on 1300 Maine Street, nestled within the historic F&J Bendorf Building formerly the Eads Senior Citizens Building.

Since opening over a year ago, Cafe Bean has been delighting locals with specialty hot, cold, and frozen drinks, crafted with precision and passion. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic espresso, a refreshing iced latte, or their signature frozen lemonade, there’s something on the menu to satisfy every palate.

What sets Cafe Bean apart are their daily specials and mouthwatering breakfast burritos, served with fresh homemade salsa that adds just the right amount of zest to kickstart your day. The commitment to quality ingredients and friendly service has earned them a loyal following, making them a go-to spot for morning coffee runs and leisurely brunches.

“We’re thrilled to have expanded into this beautiful new space,” says Claire Lane, owner of Cafe Bean. “It allows us to serve our community even better, offering more seating options and room to grow our menu.”

Claire went onto say, “I am so thankful for Trista Tuttle the owner of the building for giving me this opportunity and a huge thank you to Blake Robertson for all his hard work remodeling the area, it really looks amazing.”

F&J Bendorf Building owner Trista Tuttle posted to her Facebook, “So excited!!! We were approved by the state today to start using the kitchen in the F&J Bendorf Building! Still some cosmetic things to finish up, but it’s coming along nicely!”

Crow-Luther Cultural Events Center (Maine Scoop & Plains Theater) President Betsy Barnett stated, “We’re thrilled for Claire. This was an experiment for us to see if we could help her out and keep something open during the day on Maine Street. So now that she’s growing and in a new site, we were happy to help her on her way.”

The move to the new, larger location just a few doors down represents a significant milestone for Cafe Bean. Now housed in a bright and airy space, customers can enjoy ample seating, a cozy Friends inspired couch for catching up with friends, and a warm ambiance that invites you to linger a little longer.

Cafe Bean is open Monday-Thursday 7am-2:30 and Friday 7-2.

Whether you’re stopping by for your morning brew, grabbing a quick bite, or simply soaking in the welcoming atmosphere, Cafe Bean promises a delightful experience from start to finish. As they continue to brew up success in their new home, one thing is certain: Cafe Bean is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a cornerstone of community and a testament to the power of passion and perseverance.
