A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COMMERCIAL SEWER RATES FOR THE TOWN OF KIT CARSON
WHEREAS, the Town of Kit Carson owns and operates a municipal wastewater collection and treatment system for the benefit of its commercial customers; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has determined that it is necessary to establish updated commercial sewer rates to provide for the continued operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of the Town’s wastewater system; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds that the following rates are fair and reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF KIT CARSON, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Commercial Sewer Rates
Effective on September 6, 2026, all commercial sewer customers shall be charged as follows:
- Base Monthly Sewer Rate: $29.05 per month.
- Usage Charge: After the minimum water usage of 3000 gallons included in the base rate, commercial customers shall be charged $6.00 per 1,000 gallons of water used, or any fraction thereof.
Section 2. Billing
Commercial sewer charges shall be billed monthly and shall be due and payable in accordance with the Town’s utility billing procedures.
Section 4. Effective Date
This Resolution shall take effect on September 6, 2026.
