PUBLIC NOTICE

Kiowa County, whose address and phone number is 1305 Goff Street, Eads, CO  81036, (719) 438-5810, has filed for a Regular (112) Construction Materials Operation Reclamation Permit with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board under the provisions of the Colorado Land Reclamation Act for the Extraction of Construction Materials.  The proposed mine is known as the Harris Pit, and is located at or near Section 22, Township 19 South, Range 44 West, 6^th Prime Meridian.

FOR REVIEW OF PLANS TO OPEN A NEW GRAVEL PIT IN KIOWA COUNTY

The Kiowa County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing at 11:00 a.m. on November 12th, 2020 at the Kiowa County Courthouse, Commissioners Meeting Room, 1305 Goff Street, Eads, CO.  The purpose of this hearing is to allow citizens to review and comment on the planned opening of a new gravel pit near Sheridan Lake, CO.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Invenergy, d.b.a. Towner Wind Energy LLC, has petitioned the Board of County Commissioners of Kiowa County for approval of a conditional use permit for the proposed pre-construction activities for a possible alternative energy development at up to 8 sites, a public hearing will be held before the Kiowa County Board of County Commissioners and Kiowa County Planning & Zoning Commission at the date, time and location specified below:
