Charles Herbert Emmert, Jr., 72, of Kit Carson, passed away on July 7, 2018 in Kit Carson, CO. Charles Emmert Jr

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Kit Carson Cemetery with the Pastor Lane Gooden of Praise Community Church of Eads, officiating. 

Charles Emmert, Jr. was born in Blythesville, Arkansas to Charles and Mary Emmert on September 5, 1945.  He went to school at Blythesville, AR.  He married Sherry Cahill on March 30, 1976 in Eads, CO.  He worked as a Town Manager for the Town of Kit Carson for 20 years.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Navy.

Charles Emmert, Jr is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Emmert, and sisters Elizabeth Ann and Linda Mae Norris and grandson Kevin Donnell. Charles Emmert, Jr. is survived by his wife Sherry Emmert; daughters Tamara Halthon and Heather Clemente, son Sonny Emmert; 2 stepchildren, Cole Haworth, Mandy Kremiller, 2 sisters Mary Ann Bradford and Melody Carol Wright and one brother Billy Reese; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
