Laikyn Grace Winder of Spearman, Texas passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 in Ft. Worth, Texas. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the Gruver United Methodist Church in Gruver, Texas with Rev. Steve Chappell officiating. Burial will follow in Gruver Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Spearman on Monday (3/28/22) 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Tuesday (3/29/22) 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday (3/30/22) 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman, Texas.
Laikyn was born on March 19, 2022 in Amarillo, Texas to Blaine and Ashlynn (Miner) Winder. Her days may have been short, but her impact was great. She brought people all over the world to their knees in prayer. She was a light in a dark world. Laikyn was welcomed into the presence of Jesus with the words of “Jesus Loves Me”. She is dearly loved and missed.
She is survived by her parents, Blaine and Ashlynn (Miner) Winder of Spearman, TX; grandparents, David and Patty Miner of Gruver, TX, and Tim and Angie Winder of Eads, CO; aunts and uncles, Shannon and Chad Fowler of Eads, CO, Shaine Winder of Eads, CO, Garrett and Samantha Miner of Gruver, TX, and Chandler and Latisha Miner of Amarillo, TX; cousins, Lane, Rylee, Aibhlinn, Caoilinn, Titus and Tatum; great-grandmothers, Vickie Rogers and Alice Glover both of Eads, CO; great-grandfather John and Tammy Gallimore of Florissant, CO; great-great-grandfather Verne and Nancy Luellen of Harlingen, TX; and many cousins and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Kenny and Pat Winder, Gerald and Opal Miner and Wayne Glover.
The family ask memorials be in her name to Children’s Miracle Network, 205 W 700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101.
