Theresa Marie (Gorman) Weber was born on January 13, 1935. After a 14-month battle with colon cancer, she passed away peacefully at her home in Sheridan Lake, Colorado on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the age of 87.

Theresa was born to Mildred and Arthur Gorman in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. She had one older sister, Mary Ellen, and a twin brother, James. She never had the privilege of knowing her twin, who didn’t survive past birth; but had many fond memories of Mary Ellen, until she too passed at the age of 11 due to complications of polio. From that moment on, she was raised as an only child. Theresa had a tremendous love and respect for her mom, who was devoted to her daughter, and instilled in her a life of faith and a love of Jesus. A love she continued to nurture and grow while attending Sacred Heart Catholic School. Prior to her senior year, she transferred to Cheyenne Wells High School to be able to complete her science requirements for graduation. Theresa met her soon-to-be husband, Denis Weber, at a dance in Cheyenne Wells, and they were married on August 24, 1954. They had seven wonderful children together who, in time, gave them many grandchildren and great grandchildren to love.

Faith and Family were most important to Theresa and her warm, caring, loving personality knew no bounds. She took all that she learned from her mother and instilled the same values into her children. Whether it be school, sports, band, theatre, 4-H or Boy Scouts, Theresa was her children’s biggest supporter.

She guided her family with a positive outlook, gentle spirit, and a love without condition; and she easily shared her love, passion, and compassion with her grandkids. The smell of baking cakes, cinnamon rolls and bread always welcomed them to her home and filled their tummies with nourishment. There was no end to the things she did with them. Together they sewed, gardened, and did science experiments; took care of goats, chickens, cats, horses, pigs, and dogs. Her house was full of laughter and the occasional competitive games like dice, marbles, or dominoes. They excitedly looked forward to her yearly cards and letters on holidays; however, the most memorable moments were the traditional ‘Happy Birthday’ songs sung by her and dad/grandpa on each birthday.

She had a very rare way of making you feel comfortable by just walking up next to you and saying your name. She, without thought, put everyone’s needs before her own. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion and love of Christ in the best of times and the hardest of times. For her devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her multiple, small, special moments that made you smile.

Theresa is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Denis Weber
