Dean Ernest Schick was born June 19, 1947 to Ernest and Leah Schick of Burlington, CO. Dean was an avid fisherman, cook and farmer. If you have been around him, “Dilly Dilly” was one of his favorite sayings. He attended Bethune and Burlington schools.

Eulalah “Lolly” Jane Miller Schick was born in Enid, Oklahoma on September 28, 1947 to Billy Dale and Virginia Lucille Miller. They moved to Cheyenne Wells in 1946 where Lolly attended Cheyenne Wells School. Lolly loved going to dirt track stock car racing and she worked as a postal clerk for many years before retiring.

Dean and Lolly dated in high school. They both graduated in 1965. Upon graduation Dean went to Parks Business School in Denver and also joined the Colorado Army National Guard. Lolly moved to Denver and attended Central Business School. They got married on September 3, 1967 and from that union they had Lori Renae and Lindi Kyann. After a few months, they moved back to Cheyenne Wells to farm and ranch and raise their family. Then, after a few years more a surprise came along and Lacy Denell was born. They were married for 56 years.

Dean and Lolly loved to “honky tonk”. Dancing the night away to the polka, waltz and two-step. Going to blue grass festivals as well.

Lolly passed away on February 29, 2024 at the UC Health Hospital in Highlands Ranch, CO and Dean passed away on Mar. 1, 2024 at Weisbrod in Eads, CO. It’s as if they each knew that they couldn’t be without the other, and an ending to a 63 year romance.
