After going 1-3 in the LCC-sponsored Little Caesar’s Classic that saw Freshman Jordan Graham lead the LCC offense with 13 kills while tallying 19 digs in the victory and Sophomore Tanaia Hansen right behind with 10 kills and two blocks the freshman-laden LCC Lopes traveled to the OJC Classic over the weekend where they split 2-2 to their opponents.
The Lopes would first start on Friday in La Junta against Western Texas College and would lose in three straight, (25-20, 25-18, 25-15).  Hansen would lead LCC with 7 kills behind 25 attempts.  Next up was Pratt Community College on Friday afternoon.  This match would go to four games but LCC could not pull the contest out losing, 3-1 (25-19, 25-18, 26-24, 26-24).  Two of the four games went down to the wire.  Hansen would again lead her team with a phenomenal 11 kills scoring 12.5 points on her effort.

On Saturday, the Lady Lopes would come to play and switch the tables on Pratt with a revenge match that left LCC the victors, 3-1 (15-25, 25-8, 25-15, 25-13) Hansen would have another eight kills and 10 points with Hannah Coin leading the way with 13 kills and Jordan Graham getting 11 balls down.
