Holly Football Players Honor Fallen Teammate Jonathan Rosales

Saturday afternoon, the Holly High School Wildcats football team welcomed the Haxtun Bulldogs for their season opening football game.

Prior to kickoff, the Wildcats honored a fallen teammate with the recognition of Jonathan Rosales.

His family, friends, teammates, and community members in attendance observed a moment of silence in his honor.

Jonathan tragically died in a rollover automobile accident heading to work north of Holly the morning of May 30th.

Jono, as he affectionately known, was the starter at center and a defensive lineman for the Wildcats during his freshman and sophomore years. He had plans of playing college football at Garden City, Ks. Community College after graduation in 2022.

Jono was a coachable, unselfish and a fresh breath of life in the program.

His contagious smile and inclusive personality made him very popular in the halls of Holly School.

Jono was a talented musician and played many instruments and produced original songs that he shared on You Tube, SoundCloud, and Instagram.

He loved his family, friends, and teammates and will forever live on in their hearts.
