AREA ALL-STATE BASKETBALL 2021 SELECTEES

Last week the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) came out with the Colorado All-State Selection lists for Basketball 2021 in all five divisions.  This list also included the Player of the Year (POY) and Coach of the Year (COY) selections.  
In the 1A boys’ division the POY was sophomore Assane Diop of Belleview Christian and Tim Owen was named as the Coach of the Year.
Senior Kendyl Kirkwood from Fleming was named the Player of the Year in the 1A division and the Coach of the Year was Mike Durrill from Flatirons Academy.
Wray senior Junior Arambula was the 2A boys’ POY while his coach Karson Kuntz was named Coach of the Year. 
Limon’s Trista Max was named the POY in the 2A girls’ division, while her coach Bart O’Dwyer from Limon was named the Coach of the Year.
The following list includes the 1A and 2A area All-State Basketball players named to the 2021 list.
