The 2021 Eads High School Golf Team have already been practicing in preparation for the first high school golf tournament of the season to be held at La Junta on Friday, August 6.

According to head golf coach Justin McLoud, this year’s team is the youngest one they have ever had as there are three freshmen, a sophomore and a junior on the team roster, “We will be a super young team and a super inexperienced team.  We will look to sophomore Brentley Lening and junior John Brown to lead us this year.  We did add freshman Brennan Framel who is coming down from Kit Carson this year.  He has played in many summer scrambles, which helps him out on the competition side.  Also, freshmen Aaron Musgrave and Colin Nelson will have to put some time in since they are both new to the game.”

As the Eads golfers settle into the practices at the Eads Golf Course, McLoud sent his thank yous to some people who have assisted the team, “We would like to thank all the people who donated or took part in our annual chipping fundraiser.  This helps pay for the team's polos, hats, and meals throughout the season. Phil Dieterle won this year.  Zach Haase was second and Jason Reedy was third.  We'd like to thank GN-Bank and Sean and Mei Lan Lening for their donations to the contest.”
