The Eads Lady Eagles volleyball team finished their regular season with the best record they’ve had since 2013 when they qualified for the 1A state volleyball tournament and went 1-and-1 in Denver. They grabbed their final conference game over Granada last Tuesday, 3-0, but then lost to a very strong Idalia group on Friday night in their final game of the regular season.

They now enter the Region 1 Tournament seeded #16 and will square off against #1 Merino and #24 Sangre de Cristo at the Merino High School gymnasium on either Friday or Saturday. The winner of the region will advance to the 1A state volleyball tournament in Denver on November 10-12.

Granada gave Eads a good contest in the first set as ToriLin Riddle bothered the Eads hitters at the net with a number of partial blocks. However, Eads continued to pound away at the Granada defense and won the first set 25-20. They then took care of business in set two winning 25-10, and then finished off with a competitive 25-21 win.
