The Eads Golf Course held their annual Two-Man Scramble Tournament on June 9, 2024, and a large contention of golfers came together for a competitive tournament. When the dust cleared no one was surprised that the duo of Gail Crawford and Ryan Wyatt of Eads came through with the win in the Championship Flight.

It’s the fifth time in seven years Crawford and Wyatt have dominated the tournament.

Nine good teams were placed in the Championship Flight with the team of Crawford and Wyatt and Weston Meardon and Josh Christie tied after the front nine coming in with a -3 under 33. The rest of the flight came in with 34, 35, 36 and 37 scores.

Crawford and Wyatt would have a tremendous back nine round scoring a -5 under 31 where it was just enough to fend off the Meardon and Christie attack. The second-place team came in with a -4 under 32 and a -7 under 65 for the day. Crawford and Wyatt finished in first with a -8 under 64.

In third place in the Championship Flight, and still in the money, was the Cheyenne Wells team of Doug Tallman and Mark Stephenson who shot a -5 under 67 in the 18 holes.

The First Flight was won by Eads golf coach Justin McLoud and his partner Mike Jaco who came through with an even par 72 for the win in the First Flight. In second place was the team of J. Darrell and Jacob Barnes who shot a +2 over par 74. The final placing and money in third place was the team of Neil Richardson of Eads and Mike Crawford of Kit Carson. The Richardson/Crawford team shot a +3 over par 75.

The Second Flight paid off two teams. First place went to the team of Randy Bohlander and R.C. Cole who came in with a nice round of +6 over par 78. In second place and back by three strokes was the team of Brandon Briggs and Michael Garcia who shot a +9 over par 81.

Twenty-five teams—50 golfers—were on hand for the annual scramble tournament.
