We got a chance to catch up with Ty Lin Williams at the Youth Volleyball Camp held in Eads last week. Over the four days of volleyball the Eads High School team helped teach area youth players the basics and instill in them a love for the game.
Williams indicated there were 10 beginners at the camp ranging from Kindergarten to fourth grade. These girls learned the fundamental basics of passing, setting, hitting, and serving. They enjoyed an exciting defensive game called, The Pit. In the latter half of the week, 14 middle schoolers from 5th to 8th grade came to camp where they reviewed the basic skills and then began to further apply them through drills. This group enjoyed playing in the Triples Tournament. Coach Williams closed by indicating that, “The future looks bright for Eagle volleyball!”
